My engine got messed up on my 1993 Lexus LS400 and i bought an engine from a Japanese Engine dealer and then took my engine out. Then I found out the new engine was a Federal Engine and my engine was a California engine. Both engines looked almost exactly alike, except the old one had a bronze looking pipe running along the back, and the new engine didnt. Plus the new engine had a pipe in the front that the old one didnt. Im not sure what they are for and i was wondering if theres any way to install the new engine on my car without it giving any problems. Any information would be helpful, thanks.
